In the current business environment, adapting is the key to success. As clients are facing the reality of COVID-19, Tec-Tel Communications has created a path for clients to follow to be COVID compliant and to allow employees to feel safe while in their offices. As a 10-year-old telephony and technology company, Tec-Tel Communications has been growing steadily; for the last three years, they have doubled their business and are trending to do the same in 2021. “Our vision is clear, our focus is pinpoint accurate, with growth and business development in the forefront. Our ability to discover new cutting-edge technologies and hidden profit centers for clients has been driving our successes,” says Joe Intoci, President and CEO of Tec-Tel Communications. “We have a very simple business strategy; we never say no to a client. This is how we have been able to grow our business; by offering fully integrated business models including phone systems, security systems, access control and security camera solutions. We adapt to our clients’ requirements; this has driven our continued growth.” According to Intoci, the company has always stayed on the cutting edge of technology. They offer clients the ability to stay ahead of the curve, and their information flow to the clients about industry improvements and updates keeps their clients informed and up to date. “We are deploying some key new technologies including security cameras, door access systems, gate entry, VoIP phone systems, and managed IT services, alongside implementing the latest thermal scanning devices to help businesses reopen following a global pandemic.”

One of the key camera suppliers of the company is Hanwha Techwin, and as a goldqualified supplier, it gives us the ability to handle projects from a small 10-camera environment to projects above 500 cameras. Hanwha carries numerous camera options and is reasonably priced for commercial environments requiring a highend, secure camera system. Some of the feedback received for this product include, “These cameras are awesome! They helped us already and they have only been installed a week! We had a vendor come in to do some work in the plant and found out 2 days later he had COVID. We went back and used the camera system to monitor the technician from the time he walked into the plant until the time he left. We were able to see who he had contact with, where he went, and what areas we needed to sanitize. Without your cameras we would have had to close the whole plant to sanitize and we would have had to quarantine all of our employees.” This is one of the hundreds of examples Tec-Tel has of clients saving millions of dollars through their installation of these incredible devices.

Tec-Tel also has strategic partnerships with Avaya, Nextiva, and Tierpoint—working together as a team, they are maintaining their edge over the competition by offering the newest and best by industry standards—the partnerships have been the key strategy in their business development. “Companies such as Sandler Partners offer state-of-the-art services including auditing phone and internet bills for potential savings and evaluating customer pain points and needs,” says Intoci. “They remain fully engaged with the client from the solution design phase, to managing implementation, and training the client on the new solution as well. These are the types of valued partners we have developed strong relationships with; supplementing their service offerings with our core offerings has been key in doubling our business each of the last 3 years, and we are on track to do so again, this year.”

Tec-Tel partners with many different clients in technology and security to work towards their main priority of protecting employees and infrastructure. The company’s first goal is always to secure the employees and the plant from intrusion, and they do it by installing security gates to restrict access to the facility. The typical gates are SwingSmart CNX20, a swing gate that is remotely operated, where people seeking entrance will talk to security through an ascent 16 cellular phone access system. All-access points have an RS2 card access system and are monitored by a Hanwha camera. In keeping with the overall security, they will install high chain link fencing, as well, which are fitted with card access, creating an additional layer of protection for the client.

“When we add new dual low-profile turnstiles for employee entrances, we are ensuring only employees can enter the property. By enhancing the systems, we are now able to see all of the property using the Hanwha PMN-9030, a 180-degree capture camera,” explains Intoci. “The last piece of the installation is the Splan Visitor Management system which scans a visitor’s driver’s license or if preregistered, a QR code. Using this as the last ring of protection, we can now ensure a safe working environment for all employees.”

For the days to come, Intoci adds, “we have a wide range of expansion plans, including partnerships within the industry, business alliances with crossindustry partners, and strong business development strategies with key suppliers. In coordinated efforts for client outreach and solution based selling, we are tracking to double the business in 2021, and with clients starting to line up for 2022 we will most likely continue to thrive.” The steadfast leader says that expansion through acquisition and strategic partnerships are vital to their business plan. But they will be concentrating on developing new technology and expanding their partnerships, contributing to domestic and international growth. “Cutting-edge technologies are the driving force in our development. Our recent agreement with OMNIUP, an incredible free wifi access partner, will allow clients to capture revenue off a current loss leader, while offering free wifi access for their customers,” explains Intoci. “This is a revolutionary process and we are the implementor for the US, Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and South America. This technology will blend marketing, advertising, and revenue sharing like never before.”
